This past Sunday, our conversation with Gisa Elwazir was remarkable for the many thoughts people shared regarding their viewing of her work. It was also fascinating how we all listened to selections from Mahler’s symphony in silence. Many of us remarked how the music guided our viewing. We also noted the wonderful sense of freedom this gave us in the manner of how we approached the work. Someone made the observation that sometimes video presentations control how we view a large presentation, in terms of long shots and close-up segments.
