DALLAS, Texas (April 9, 2010)—Haley-Henman proudly announces the solo show of paintings by Esther Ritz at The Chambers. The exhibition of eighteen paintings, located in the gallery of the Carolina Ballroom at The Chambers will be available for viewing from May 13 through July 1, 2010. The opening reception will be on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 5:30-8:30 pm. This reception and exhibit is free and open to the public. Regular viewing hours are from 8 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Special viewing events may be made by appointment through Haley-Henman Gallery.

Esther Ritz’s paintings dynamically express abstractions of color, movement, drama, and humor. These paintings were selected from several of her collections of acrylic and mixed media on canvas works, as well as encaustic works. Esther Ritz first showed her painting, Lost Dreams, a year ago at Haley-Henman as part of her show of new paintings. Recently Studio Visit Magazine selected Lost Dreams to be in the 2010 Summer Edition. This magazine is a juried publication that introduces work to a serious national audience of art world professionals. Ms Ritz’s work was selected to be among the 150 chosen from over 900 entries. Another work included in this publication is It’s Not Easy Being Red, which Haley-Henman awarded a top Texas Visual Art Association ‘s Citation for 2008.

Haley-Henman thanks The Chambers for the opportunity to have this special exhibition of works by Esther Ritz. The Chambers and Haley-Henman are both committed to supporting the diversity of our local artists. And, we seldom view the works of an emerging artist with such a meaningful context of continuity. The Chambers is located at 514 Jackson Street at the corner of Record Street, next to the Lawrence Hotel and behind the Federal Court House in downtown Dallas. Their telephone number is 214-741-6688.
