JON WALZ, PAINTINGS IN THE MAIN GALLERY
JASON LAJUDICE, SCULPTURES IN THE WEST GALLERY
JONATHAN STEWART, 3D PRINTS IN THE EAST GALLERY

JUNE 19 – JULY 24, 2010
OPENING RECEPTION:  SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 8-11 PM

DALLAS, Texas (May 20, 2010)—Haley-Henman Gallery is pleased to premier eighteen recent paintings by Jon Walz in the Main Gallery.  Jason LaJudice will present his collection of ten sculptures entitled, “Face to Face” in the West Gallery.  And, Jonathan Stewart’s series of three-dimensional prints entitled, “Let-Go” will showcase ten of his most recent works in the East Gallery.  The opening reception will be on Saturday, June 19, 2010, from 8-11 pm.  This reception is free and open to the public.

The works of these emerging artists focus on the subjects of social issues, political satire, commercial parody, and fantasy.  Jon Walz paints on raw, unstretched canvas.  In this premier exhibition of his works, he unabashedly exposes his naked emotions and passion for living in the moment.  Jason LaJudice sculptural collection represents ten years of work.  Each of these sculptures is created only one year at a time.  This exhibition is the premier showing of this collection in its entirety.   Some of these mixed media sculptures can also be worn as a mask.  Jonathan Stewart’s three-dimensional prints are food for thought by the vehicle of social, political and commercial parody.  The ploy of a child’s toy chides adults to wake-up about their environment, personal responsibility, and social values.

The artists will hold a conversation at the gallery on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 7pm.

On Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 9 pm, Thor Johansen will present a special video event as part of this exhibition.  Jon Walz is donating 10% of all his sales during the exhibition period to Camp Esperanza, a pediatric summer camp for children with cancer.  Five hundred dollars will send a child to this camp.  Haley-Henman is pleased to join Mr. Walz in this effort and will also contribute 10% of all sales to Camp Esperanza.
