FAVORITES AND PREVIEWS, PART II

FEBRUARY 25 - March 26, 2011
OPENING RECEPTION: FRIDAY, February 25, 7:00-9:00 PM

DALLAS, Texas (February 2, 2011)—Haley-Henman continues the exhibition, Favorites and Previews, with Part II from February 25 to March 26, 2011. Each artist will exhibit two works: one favorite and one preview. The twelve participating artists in Part 2 are the following: Betsy Daves Bass, John Bramblitt, David Mitchell Dillard, Jerry Lee Dodd, David Clanton, Susan Lecky, Brenda McKinney, Esther Ritz, Elisabeth Schalij, Gisela-Heidi Strunck, Juergen Strunck, and Madeleine Terry. The opening reception with the artists will be on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 7-9 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The strength of this exhibit reflects the very accomplished and experienced artists who have gained much recognition regionally and internationally, and also recognizes the strength of emerging artists. Overall, the exhibit emphasizes the wonderful diversity of local artists expressing themselves in a variety of two and three dimensional media.

Another special feature of this exhibition is Jonathan Stewart’s Master of Fine Arts exhibition, New & Improved, which is in partial fulfillment of his MFA degree at the University of Dallas. Mr. Stewart’s work will coincide with the theme of favorites and previews with the favorite being a selection of works from his series, Let-Go, shown at Haley-Henman in June and July of 2010, and will be in the east gallery viewing room. His preview of New & Improved will be in the west gallery. Haley-Henman is very pleased to have such an accomplished student showing in the same gallery with his noted professor, Juergen Strunck.

The gallery’s hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to five, and by appointment. Located West of downtown Dallas, 2335 Hardwick Street is the third left after crossing the Trinity River by the Commerce Street Bridge.
